Repo Issues

There have been issues connecting to our repo at packages.mate-desktop.org. We are aware of these issues and hopefully they will be resolved shortly. A new release announcement will follow shortly thereafter.

  sudo apt-get update –fix-missing
  sudo apt-get dist-upgrade –fix-missing

The ftp repos actually worked fine, I managed to upgrade from there. I am glad to know it is not just me who can’t download from the html repos.

Immediate bug I noticed upon upgrading: mate will no longer render my background, its stuck at a bluish gradient.

When i tried install mate in ArchLinux from repo , i get ” maximun file size exceeded ” error.

I tried with repo.mate-desktop… and packages.mate-desktop

How can I solve it?

Im facing the same issue and I have looked everywhere for fix but no clue : they say we aware but wont fix it ??

* when using “Caja 1.2.1″ culd be named “Box” instead of caja. I open an ssh connection to a server (that works greate!) but when i right-click and in the contextual menu I chose “open a terminal”, the program (box, or caja) is closed, and the terminal is never opened.
* mate-terminal do not letme call with program and parameters to execute.
* mate-terminal is not letting me put the name of the terminal on the window
* under cairo-dock I can not open a mate terminal (this can be a cairo error but… culd be not)

It is the first time I am using mate, I begun to hate gnome and kde, I think you are doing a greate work people.. just continue
